The IT System & Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to IT infrastructure and systems. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and improving the performance of servers, network systems, and applications. You will work closely with other engineering teams to support day-to-day operations, deliver solutions to technical issues, and assist in system upgrades and implementations.
Missions
- Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues across multiple platforms (Windows, Azure, Linux, etc.).
- Perform regular system health checks, ensuring optimal performance of servers and network equipment.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and other system-related software.
- Monitor system performance, network traffic, and storage utilization, and take proactive steps to prevent issues.
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Support virtualization platforms and cloud services (e.g. Azure).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and support procedures.
- Train and assist end-users with system usage and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and help in the implementation of security measures.
Profil
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a System Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 & Azure environment.
- Hands-on experience with server hardware, virtualization and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.) and system security.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with monitoring tools
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Information supplémentaire
- IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect, ITIL...
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker).
